Description

Students will first learn about taking care of a pet from a community volunteer. They will then apply to be a pet owner from the pet store and learn how to fill out an application and go through an interview process. After that, they will be approved to be pet parents! On Adoption Day they will get to receive a pet and a pet carrier. Their job will be to take that pet home and take good care of their pet by reading to it 20 minutes each night. They will fill out a reading calendar and return it to school along with a few sentences that tell me how their pet is doing at home.
