Reality University provides our middle school students the opportunity to learn real-life financial literacy needs. Students are assigned a job based on their actual academic performance in school. They may be single, married, divorced, and with or without children in this simulation. Students must navigate the financial world of purchasing a place to live, a form of transportation, and the insurance that goes with each of these. They may encounter emergency funding needs along the way as well as setting up and paying for utilities, child care, college, etc. This program brings the financial realities of being an adult to our middle school students, helping them understand the value of education and preparation for life to come.
